Abstract

The article analyzes the current trends of research in foreign language teaching in connection with informal education. The preconditions and prospects of foreign language teaching development in the system of informal adult education in modern society as one of the components of social consequences of globalization and informatization are studied. Such an effective pedagogical technology as language portfolio is highlighted and characterized. It can be used by both teachers and students in foreign language classes due to its personal orientation and a high level of creative work on their own.
