Abstract

This series explores the definition, meaning and roles of informal caring and informal carers, the statistics and lived experiences regarding informal caring, the law and Government strategies regarding informal caring and the role of the nurse, nursing associate (NA) and healthcare assistant (HCA) in supporting the informal carer. This sixth and final article in this series will summarise the key points made in the preceding five articles and will suggest possible future avenues for work going forward.
