Abstract

Objective: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of 3 self-etching adhesives systems and a conventional adhesive system. Methodology: Dentin surfaces were prepared on labial surface of 60 freshly extracted bovine incisors teeth. The teeth were randomly divided in 4 groups (n=15): G1-Clearfil SE Bond; G2-One-Up Bond F; G3-Optibond Solo Plus; e G4-Single Bond, as a control. The adhesives systems were applied according to the manufactures’ directions and composite resin cylinder were mounted on adhesive site. The specimens were stored in distilled water at 370C for 24 hours prior the shear testing in a universal machine (Kratos). Results: The means values expressed by MPa were: G1=8,57±3,52; G2=8,19± 2,17; G3=9,30±2,89; e G4=8,99±3,36. Conclusion: There was no statistically significant differences in dentin bond strength among the adhesives systems used (p<0.763).
