Many studies have investigated complications after posterior cervical spine surgery but little is known about the factors predicting postoperative length of hospital stay. Awareness of these variables can identify patients at risk for increased length of stay preoperatively and help adjust expectations and appropriately plan for the hospital admission postoperatively.
