Abstract

Introduction: At present the reis evidence of a growth in the population index, leading to the emergence of new types of families. The single parent family is formed by various causes including separation or divorce, death of one of the parents, emigration, wars, catastrophes, among others. Interpersonal relationships are made when the reis an interaction witht woor more people either in school or in there almof daily life and they change through out our lives. Objective: To determine the in fluence of the single parent family in the interpersonal relationships of students. Place: A.P Educational Unit of the Milagro canton. Participants: 85 students of 9th, 10th and 1st year of Baccalaureate. Results: One of the causes that most lead to the formation of single-parent families according to the quantitative survey applied to the object of study results in divorce, affecting significantly more, as the qualitative part was categorized and codified to social influence as a factor (a), to the economic influence (b), and affective (c), there are 5 respondents who meet the conditions of inclusion and exclusion in the sample for the study; that is to say, all are part of a single parent family. Conclusions: The family affects considerably in relationship seven more when they are affected from child hood and remain until adult hood, the setypes of conflicts prevent individuals from having confidence in them and empathy in others.
