Abstract

The paving industry has had extraordinary accomplishments with reusing Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) in road construction in recent decades. This study presents the influences of using a soy-agent rejuvenator on the extracted aged binder from RAP material. The test method practices include major binder properties such as viscosity, stiffness, and physicochemicals. Different percentages of the soy agent have been used as additives to the reclaimed binder. Based on the analysis results, 10% of soy agent to binder by weight will be the optimal percentage of soy agent for improving the mechanical properties of the rejuvenated asphalt binder for RAP.
