Abstract

In the process of CIM implementation, the human factors will lead the project into different directions. Some consultant companies concluded that 70% obstacles of CIM implementation came from human factors. Because implementing CIM is not only to introduce advanced devices and techniques to the enterprise, but also to improve the staff's understanding of system integration and promote their technological capability. Therefore, in the process of CIM implementation, it is necessary to study that how human factors influence the integration, then to find out some methods to solve the problems. Firstly, this paper classifies those factors into three groups: individual, organization, and enterprise culture. Then it discusses how human's recognition of system integration influences CIM implementation. Two methods, GRAI method and organizational modeling, are applied to analyze the weak points of an organization and find out the shortcomings of current organizational structure in the enterprise in question. Finally, enterprise culture is discussed and the process to change the enterprise culture of a company is proposed.
