Abstract

The dynamic reactive power of hybrid dual-infeed high voltage direct current (HDIDC) system are strongly correlated with the control strategy, which has a great impact on the transient stability of the receiving power grid. In order to explore the influence of voltage source converter high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) control parameters and control strategies on the reactive power support of DC system and voltage recovery characteristics of receiving power grid in HDIDC, this article takes PSCAD as the simulation platform. Firstly, the influence mechanism and approach of line-commutated converter high voltage direct current (LCC-HVDC) system control on its dynamic reactive power are analyzed. Secondly, the dynamic reactive power and voltage recovery characteristics of VSC-HVDC system with different control strategies are analyzed. Finally, through simulation analysis, the influence of HDIDC PI regulator parameters on dynamic reactive power of DC system and voltage recovery characteristics of receiving power grid is verified.
