Summary

Introduction

Florfenicol is only used in veterinary medicine and has been approved by the Committee for Veterinary Medicinal Products (the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medical Products-EMEA). It is a potent agent used as an alternative to chloramphenicol. A particular drug may have no action on a targeted tissue whatsoever but may modify another drug’s in luence by varying its concentration available to produce an effect. This interaction may result either in diminished effects or drug potentiation [7].
