Abstract

The high demands on precision of workpieces produced by metalforming call for increasing standards of stiffness and accuracy of employed machines and become more relevant than ever. A possible way to reach this goal is to optimize stress behaviour and the flux of force in all components of the metalforming machine. Particularly the components of machines such as the high strained areas of guides or cross-heads with integrated drives have to be improved by means of special scientific research. Investigations into real structures of metalforming presses and the variation of constructional details show possible influences.
