Abstract

This work proves explicitly that UV irradiation affects the a-Si:H growth. For that purpose, HOMO-GENEOUS CVD method (normally carried out in darkness) has been used to prepare a-Si:H specimens grown in darkness and under a simulated UV irradiation. By comparison of these specimens, a selective influence of UV irradiation on hydrogen incorporation and on a-Si:H properties has been established.
