Abstract
In the educational process, emotional intelligence has a large role in achieving educational outcomes more meaningfully. Whether we realize it or not, everything in society can affect the development of adolescents. Nowadays, through print and electronic media, there are increasingly being reported various delinquency phenomena that engulf adolescents, some in the form of fights, theft, destruction, sexual misconduct, disobedience to parents, teachers, and even actions that can self-inflict such as consuming drugs. Emotional intelligence can be learned in the family, as the first and foremost environment, through parent-child interactions in the form of nurturing and religious training that are trained from an early age. The second environment after the family is the school where there are roles of teachers and peers. This research was conducted in Indonesia with a total of 200 adolescents as respondents. Data collection techniques using literature and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis in this study used SPSS version 25 and Amos version 22. Based on the critical value ratio, the results obtained were more than 1.96 for variables of care type, school environment, peer roles and religious behavior. So, the four variables have a positive effect on adolescent emotional intelligence. the role of peers and religious behavior.
