Abstract
The influence of thermal annealing on the optical absorption and dark conductivity of evaporated GaS thin films below the onset of crystallization is investigated. Annealing is performed at different temperatures and for different periods of time. The experimental results are tentatively interpreted in terms of variations in the density of localized states due to a progressive decrease of the unsaturated bonds during thermal annealing.
