Abstract

Some aspects of determining the temperature field of the Sayano-Shushenskaya dam are considered. The results of a finite-element analysis of the thermal components of the radial displacements of the dam crest over the period from 1989 to 2015 are presented. A classification of thermal states of the dam is proposed. Headwater level limits at intermediate stages of reservoir filling are found to ensure the integrity of grouted zones in the upstream face and base of the dam. Criteria for choosing an operating rule curve for the reservoir depending on the thermal state of the dam are proposed
