Abstract

It was of interest to determine the influence of the temperature--time parameters of vacuum treatment on the corrosion-mechanical properties of V95 alloy of the A1--Mg--Zn-Cu-Mn system. In the hardened and aged condition this alloy is a solid solution of zinc and magnesium in aluminum with the uniformly distributed hardening phases MgZn2, AIMg2, AIMgCu, and Al2MgsZn3. With precipitation of these phases at the grain boundaries corrosion processes are sharply strengthened [3].
