Abstract

Relaxation measurements are made from 200 to 640 K on Metglas 2705MN. Critical magnetic fields for the onset of irreversible domain wall displacements and initial permeability are considered to investigate structural and magnetic instabilities. These are attributed to thermally activated reorientation of atom pairs near free volumes.
