Abstract

The results of experimental studies on the propagation of bulk acoustic waves (10-200MHz) in a synthetic diamond single crystal under the influence of uniaxial pressure and temperature have been presented. Obtained data on second and third order elastic constants were used to calculate the anisotropy of the acoustic waves propagation characteristics in diamond under the pressure application. The peculiarities of wave propagation have been discussed.
