Abstract

In a long-distance laser link, the influence of the platform random vibration is an important issue involving the steady of the laser link. The adoption of the micro-vibration environment of the platform and accurate prediction of the motion of a beacon are vital for improving tracking precision. To improve prediction accuracy, an adaptive prediction method for the beacon was introduced. Experiments were performed to verify the viability of the proposed approach. Compared with the quadratic function fitting prediction, the results showed that the improvement in the prediction accuracy was greater than 70%, mainly in the mid- and high-frequency ranges, while considering the random vibration. The new approach could be valuable for improving tracking precision and maintaining a steady laser link.
