Abstract

A technique for studying the transient process of forced vibrations of a longitudinally and transversely reinforced cylindrical shell under a load with frequency and amplitude varying with time is developed. The discrete arrangement of reinforcing ribs is taken into account. The influence of the damping factor, frequency, and amplitude of loading as well as the duration of the transient process on the shell deflection is studied.
