Abstract

The migration of impurity 67Ga atoms produced by nuclear reactions, occurring in the course of annealing of Zn metal foils irradiated with protons, deuterons, and 4He ions, was studied. The migration rate of the impurity atoms is determined by the extent of the radiation damage of the targets in the course of irradiation (i.e., by the nuclear history: type, energy, and intensity of charged particle beam, total fluence) and by localization of the hot impurity atom in the irradiated metal lattice.
