Abstract

Influence of the magnetic treatment of KDP and ADP crystals and solutions on their equilibrium temperature is revealed and investigated. The maximum change of the temperature is observed right after magnetization. Then the effect monotonically decreases and in 5 h the temperature approaches its equilibrium value. It is established that the observed decrease in the solubility depends on the impurity content and is maximum for magnetically treated KDP crystals with chromium impurity; it further decreases in the series: KDP crystal, KDP–ADP crystals in KDP–ADP solution, KDP crystal in KDP–ADP solution, and KDP solution. Relaxation times are determined for all five examined systems. It is revealed that the effect fast increases and then is saturated at B = 0.02 T.
