Abstract
Results of computer calculations of the influence of the inhomogeneity of a focused photon beam as well as geometrical parameters of ionisation system on the stability of the photo-ion current in the ion source with a non-homogeneous effusion molecular beam are presented. The results are given for the condition where both beams are parallel. The comparison of the photo-ion current intensities and their stability for different mutual configurations of photon and molecular beams is also presented.
