Abstract

A description is given of a simulation model of a laser enclosure for a cylindrical active element. The results are reported of a numerical experiment in which the energy efficiency estimated for 12-flashlamp illumination enclosures and the curves representing the radial distribution of the population inversion are plotted for an active element with a diameter of 100 mm. Recommendations are formulated on selection of the optimal illumination enclosure configuration and on the concentration of neodymium in GLS22 glass.
