Abstract

A finite element model of the China Rail Transit Summit type-II (CRTS II) slab track with different elasticity modulus of cement asphalt mortar (CAM) has been presented. Utilizing the model, the influence of the elasticity modulus of CAM on the temperature induced warp stress and deformation distribution of CRTS II slab track has been investigated. Numerical results indicate that the elasticity modulus of CAM has a certain influence on the temperature stress, especially on the longitudinal stress along lateral direction and the maximum difference among the different elasticity modulus, from 7,000 MPa to 10000 MPa, is about 8%, while it have a negligible effect on the vertical deformation. It is avail to choose a CAM with a smaller elasticity modulus in the range of 7,000 MPa to 10,000 MPa to decrease the temperature stress distribution gradient of the slab.
