Abstract

We study the influence of the parameters of milling of SmCo4.8Zr0.2 alloy in a planetary mill in hydrogen on its phase composition and anisotropy by the method of X-ray analysis. It is shown that, as a result of milling at a frequency of 300 rpm for 72, 24, and 12 h and at a frequency of 200 rpm for 24 h, the phase with CaCu5 -type structure partially decomposes or passes into the amorphous state. It is also shown that, after milling at rates of 300 rpm for 6 h, 200 rpm for 12 and 6 h, and 100 rpm for 24 h, the powder particles are anisotropic.
