Abstract

Influence of donor (diphenylamine) and acceptor ( n-benzoquinone, anthraquinone) molecules adsorption from alcohol electrolyte on the electrode potential dependence of germanium surface potential was studied. It was found that the sensitivity of the germanium-electrolyte system to donor or acceptor molecules depends on initial surface potential of the semiconductor. The detectable concentration of impurity molecules was found to be about 2 μmoll −1. Simultaneous detection of donor and acceptor molecules in electrolyte was shown to be possible at moderate concentrations.
