Abstract

Objective: Antegrade selective cerebral perfusion (SCP) following a period of deep hypothermic arrest (HCA) is common to prevent ischemic or embolic brain injury during aortic arch surgery. Nothing is known about the cerebral blood flow and cerebral metabolism during SCP at various temperatures and a previous period of HCA.
