Abstract

Information on the thermal conductivity of highly porous refractory specimens obtained using kaolins, clays, burnable, sintering additives, and foam is presented. The data on the properties of samples of lightweight refractories obtained by different methods are analyzed. The emphasis is on the combination of thermal insulation and strength properties of the samples. Achieved thermal conductivity of foam samples of 0,37 W/(m·K) at 650 ° C in combination with a satisfactory compressive strength of 3,8
