Abstract

Abstract Boiling heat transfer can be affected by many factors such as extended surfaces, nanofluids and modification of surfaces. In the present paper by changing the surface wettability and its influence on boiling heat transfer were studied. Surface wettability plays a crucial role for performance of any heat transfer devices. Modification of surface such as coating of nanoparticle could be one of the best ways for characterization of surface wettability. Selection of coating parameters is the first step for enhancement of boiling heat transfer. In present work multi attribute decision making (MADM) technique were used for selection of coating parameters. Parametric comparisons were made on the basis of various algorithms of MADM techniques.
