Abstract
1. The influence of electron-donating and electron-accepting substituents on the rate of isotopic exchange of the hydrogen of tricarbonyl(arene)chromium complexes in an alkaline medium has been studied. 2. In these reactions the influence of electron-donating and electron-accepting substituents in the tricarbonyl (arene)chromium system is weak.
