Abstract

Superconducting thin films of a Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-O (TBCCO) system were prepared on single-crystal MgO(100) substrates by the mist microwave-plasma chemical vapor deposition method, and the influence of the substitution of Sr for Ba for the formation of the superconducting phases in TBCCO systems was investigated. The crystallographic transformation was caused by changing the ratio of Sr to Ba ( x=Sr/(Ba+Sr)). In the case of the Tl(Ba, Sr)-Ca-Cu-O system, the high-Tc phase (2223 phase) more easily was obtained as a single phase compared to the Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-O and Tl-Sr-Ca-Cu-O systems.
