Abstract

1. The rate constants of reactions simulating the step of formation of epoxide oligomers and the rate constants of hydrolysis of the epoxide ring were measured in the solvents water-alcohol and water-acetone. 2. In the system water-acetone, in comparison with the system water-alcohol, a substantial increase is observed in the rate constants of side reactions, and the rate constants of reactions of addition of epoxide compounds to the phenolic hydroxyl change negligibly. 3. The influence of the ratio between the components of the medium on the values of the rate constants of the reactions was demonstrated for the example of reactions of hydrolysis of epichlorohydrin.
