Abstract

A field experiment was conducted to study the influence of soil moisture conservation practices and plantinggeometry on growth, yield and economics of safflower under northern dry zone (Zone-3) of Karnataka. Tied ridges(1,061 kg/ha) and plant geometry of 45 x 20 cm (1,093 kg/ha) recorded significantly higher seed yield. Similar trendwas noticed with respect to gross returns and net returns.
