Abstract
This work presents a comparative magnetic study of PrBaCo2O5.50 and YBaCo2O5.50. Samples studied have been carefully prepared, specially the PrBaCo2O5.50 one, to avoid the formation of oxygen vacancy disorder. High temperature magnetic measurements indicate different spin states of Co ions in both compounds. Neutron powder diffraction below RT indicate a different succession of magnetic arrangements.
