Abstract
The paper describes a programme of flexural fatigue tests on ferrocement slabs with four different types of reinforcement. The results are used to discuss the effect on the fatigue strength of the size of wire, galvanizing of the wire, and the placing of wire mesh in layers. Samples of the wire were also fatigue-tested in air and a relationship is developed between the fatigue strength of each type in air and in the composite.
