Abstract

The effects of pressure on selected de Haas --- van Alphen frequencies in niobium have been measured. The frequency shifts, including a relatively large negative shift for the jungle-gym arms, can be explained by a model which uses a Slater-Koster interpolation of augmented-plane-wave $X\ensuremath{\alpha}$ bands which had been calculated for two lattice spacings.
