Abstract
An experiment was conducted during the rainy season of 1991 and 1992 to study gl.owlh i~lld yield pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan Millsp] to potassium application (0.25. 50 i111d 75 response of R1 (L.) kg/ ha). Application of K significantly increased the shoot dry weight, leaf-area indcx (I.AI). Ici~l-area duration and crop-growth rate. It also significantly increased the podslplant, 1,000-sccd wcighl, Ilarvest index and seed yield (qha). Application of 50 kg I(/l~a proved optimum tor growth ; I I I ~ yicltl I3;a;lmclers and the seed yield.
