Maximum population was recorded on G-8 variety followed by Pride of India, Millenium-111 and BC-76, and minimum DBM population was recorded on the variety Rare Ball. The interaction showed that the maximum population was observed on variety G-8 planted on 30th November and least population was found on the variety Rare Ball planted on 15th December. Overall, the variety Rare Ball planted on 15th December performed the best against DBM.
