Abstract

With the rapid development of Electric Vehicles (EVs), the planing and design of charging stations is becoming more and more important, and the prediction of charging demand for EVs is an important prerequisite for the study of EV charging station planning. China’s provincial and municipal power companies continue to issue incentive policies for Peak Shaving and Frequency Modulation (FM) in the auxiliary service market, which will affect the planning and development of EV charging stations. This paper considers some scenarios of EV charging station and EV as a whole to provide Peak Shaving and Frequency Regulations service. And puts forward the forecast model of EV charging demand that considers Peak Shaving and Frequency Regulations benefits, combines the travel probability matrix, uses Monte Carlo to simulate EV travel, and thus considers the impact of Peak Shaving and Frequency Regulations revenue prediction on the EV charging demand model. Based on the results of XiangZhou District of Zhuhai City, it can conclude that if some charging stations participate in Peak Shaving and Frequency Regulations, it will significantly affect the charging decision of EVs and change the income ranking of EV charging stations in this area.
