Abstract
The usability of seeds for the production of seedlings, as well as the utilisation potential of seeds for natural regeneration was assessed by the comparative analysis of seed germination from the cones of different ages of three species with partial serotiny (P. halepensis Mill., Cupressus sempervirens L., Cupressus arizonica Greene). In cypress, serotiny is not so expressed as to be a reserve for extraordinary situations (fire). Fouryearold Aleppo pine cones should be collected for production purposes. Serotinous cones up to ten years old are efficient for natural regeneration of Aleppo pine forest after fire.

Стабла аризонског чемпреса са којих су сакупљане шишарице налазе се у мањим популацијама у приобалном делу на полуоструву Касандра (Грчка) При сакупљању шишарице обе врсте су издвајане у четири старосне групе зелене (недозреле), браон (зреле) и серотинозне старе до 5 година и старе преко 5 година Код обе врсте, извршена је морфолошка анализа и установљена дужина, ширина и маса шишарица, као и број љуспи, број зрна у шишарици, фактор екстракције и апсолутна маса семена Код алепског бора шишарице су сакупљане са стабала из природних популација полуострва Касандра. После екстракције и обескриљавања узети су просечни и радни узорци семена према прописима Међународног удружења за испитивање семена (ISTA), а испитивање клијавости семена обављено је према истим прописима (20°С, на филтер папиру у термостат клијалици) са изузетком трајања испитивања и дана првог бројања (28/50 уместо 7/28) (Гр б и ћ , Каличанин , То мићевић ,1999).
