Abstract

1. The recombination of radical pairs generated in the triplet state in micelles in a magnetic field is accelerated in the presence of paramagnetic additives capable of penetrating the micelle. 2. Oxygen is the most active quencher of the magnetic effect in the recombination of radical pairs in micelles. The introduction of O2 leads to an increase in the rate constant for the recombination of radical pairs in micelles both in the presence and absence of a magnetic field.
