Abstract

Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is a widely used denture base material in dental practice and the improvement of its properties is important for improving the quality of treatment. The aim of this study is to increase the tensile bond strength between PMMA and soft liner with Thermionic Vacuum Arc. Surface properties were evaluated by Scanning Electron Microscope, Energy-Dispersive X-ray Analysis, and Atomic Force Microscope after the tensile bond strength test. As a result, the ZnO coating with TVA positively affects the PMMA surface properties compared to Ag and SnO2 groups and promising for clinical use.
