Abstract

The influence of operational factors on the properties of heat-resistant nonwoven filter materials (HNFM) is studied. A comparative analysis of the HNFM investigated by thermogravimetry (TG) showed that insertion of woven polyamide benzimidazole (PABI) yarn and fibreglass cloth carcass into the HNFM structure increases its thermal properties. The results of the comparative studies of the physicomechanical properties of HNFM aged thermally and treated with 20% H2SO4 solution confirmed that insertion of additional components into its structure reduces weight loss of the material without affecting the strength properties and shrinkage due to thermal aging.
