Abstract

Objective To explore nursing intervention on AIDS patients in highly active antiretroviral HIV treatment (HAART) effect. Methods 100 AIDS patients were randomly divided into two groups: control and observation groups, 50 cases in each group. Patients in control group were treated with general nursing measures and were given a detailed set of mind, cognitive and behavioral interventions in observation group. After intervention 1 year, referral rates, opportunistic infection, CD4+T cell count were compared. Results Referral rate was increased, rate of opportunistic infection was decreased, CD4+T cell count was increased in observation group, effect of observation group was better than that of control group(P< 0.05). Conclusions Nursing intervention could improve the referral rate of HAART patients, reduce the chance of infection and promote immune function, so as to improve the quality of life of patients. Key words: AIDS; Nursing intervention; Immune function; Referral rate; Opportunistic infections
