Abstract

Nano Carbon black added-BaTiO3 ceramic was prepared by solid state reaction method. The BaCO3 and TiO2 were mixed in stoichiometric to obtained BaTiO3 precursor, Nano Carbon black added with 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 wt.%, sintering at 1,200°C. Microstructure was investigated by x-ray diffraction technique and SEM. The dielectric constant was measured by Chen Hwa 1061 LCR meter. It was found that, the ceramic shows tetragonal structure, relative density values increased then around 97% (D = 5.793 g/cm3), which obtained for Nano Carbon black compositions started from 8 wt.%. The dispersion of dielectric constant was decreased with increasing Carbon black. The effects of Nano-Carbon black added-BaTiO3 ceramic show increasing physical properties and decreasing dielectric properties.
