Abstract

The onset of different dynamic operation regimes in ring gas laser with internal cylindrical diaphragm moving along resonator axis is experimentally and theoretically investigated. Peculiarities of generation regimes are explained by modulation of diffraction phase coupling of counterpropagating waves due to backscattering on moving diaphragm.
