Abstract
2,4,6-Triphenylpyrylium tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)gallate (TPPGa) was synthesized and studied as a visible light cationic photoinitiator. TPPGa was encapsulated in polystyrene to increase thermal stability, and the microparticles obtained were characterized with scanning electron microscopy and laser scanning confocal microscopy. The properties of the microencapsulated initiator were investigated.
