Abstract

The characteristics of common mechanical errors and the influence mechanism of each error on the working state of active magnetic bearing (AMB) is analyzed according to AMB with five degrees of freedom. The relationship between machining errors, AMB design parameters and the coil current of radial magnetic bearing is quantitatively analyzed. The results show that machining errors lead to coupling between the radial magnetic bearing and the axial magnetic bearing, increase control difficulty of AMB, add additional interference current to the coil of radial magnetic bearing, decrease carrying capacity of radial magnetic bearing. The results provide a scientific basic for optimizing the AMB design parameter, analyzing the installation error of AMB system and improving the performance of AMB.
