Abstract
The paper investigates the potential use of Novosibirsk reservoir for organizing water supply, including drinking water, of the large city and adjacent territory. The characteristics are given of the long-standing formation of hydrological and hydrochemical regime of the reservoir and its influence on the ecological conditions of water use.
