Abstract

An observation of increase in the value of Huang-Rhys factor and energy shift and broadening of emission lines due to excitons bound to Bi traps is reported for the first time. The experimental results have been interpreted in terms of the influence of the local environment around Bi center on binding energy and lattice relaxation during radiative transitions.
